Join us on a field trip

On Monday, August 8th, we’re hopping on the school bus to tour two of our favourite purveyors in Ladner, BC: Cropthorne Farm and neighbouring Barnside Brewery, before settling in to a long table feast prepared by The Acorn Chef, Devon Latte, and his kitchen team at Barnside’s tasting room using veg exclusively grown by Cropthorne.  

Cropthorne Farm is a certified organic family farm helmed by mastermind and lead farmer, Lydia Ryall. She’ll be taking us through the field to show us the farming practices that yield a wide variety of crops that the Acorn team enthusiastically prepares on a daily basis, year round.

Barnside is one of Acorn’s favourite breweries and holds the record for longest lasting draft placement on our ever-changing menu. It’s a family-run operation owned by four long-standing Ladner farmers. They’ll tour us around their facilities and farm, where they grow their own hops, and give us a taste of Ladner history as told by the century old barn and timber that house the brewery and tasting room.

Tickets include a walking tour at Cropthorne Farm and Barnside Brewing, welcoming drink, and long table dinner. Optional beer pairing available for purchase. Must be 19+ to drink.
*Let us do the driving - We’ve arranged for school bus transportation with 5pm pickup and 10pm drop off at The Acorn for an additional $20*
